What Single Origin Actually Means.
A blend is built to taste the same every time. A single origin is built to taste like where it came from, and that shifts with the farm, the altitude, the variety, and how the cherry was processed.
That's the appeal. Tarrazú in Costa Rica is clean and structured. Guji in Ethiopia leans floral and fruit-forward. Pasco, Peru brings sweetness at altitude, Cubulco in Guatemala's Baja Verapaz is a region most roasters skip entirely, and Yauco is Puerto Rican coffee from a growing region with real history behind it. Same plant, same brewer, five completely different mornings.
None of it requires new equipment. Every coffee here is roasted to work in whatever you already own — drip machine, French press, pour-over, the thing your in-laws gave you. I roast for the coffee, not for a gadget.
This is also where the unusual lots live. Rare varieties, small harvests, the occasional Geisha or Mokka. When something interesting comes off a mill I trust, it lands on this page, and it doesn't tend to stay long.
