You're simple, unique, and proper. Drink from a glass that matches your style!
Appearance:
Aslin's How Now Brown Cow Milk Stout poured a beautiful dark brown color into our Silhouette Snifter Series Stout Glass. The milk stout produced a short brown head that filled the immediate area with magnificent aromas.
Nose:
As the head started to dissipate in the stout glass, the milk stout expressed dominant coffee and chocolate aromas. The maple aroma was more subtle on the nose than the coffee; however, the maple was still very noticeable.
Palate:
Similar to the aroma profile, the flavor profile displayed a lot of coffee and chocolate upfront with a lingering maple finish. The body of the milk stout was light, smooth, and somewhat creamy.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, How Now Brown Cow is a great milk stout series from Aslin Beer Company. There are several variants of Aslin's milk stout, and our favorite in the How Now Brown Cow series is the coconut variant.
We frequent Aslin Beer Company several times a month for their highly sought after craft cans. Aslin typically releases several craft beers on Thursdays at 3:00 pm; however, Aslin occasionally has Saturday can releases, too (11am). Aslin plans on opening their new taproom sometime in early 2018, and their kegs are starting to appear in the D.C. area.
We recommend visiting this fantastic craft brewery for their limited release craft beer cans, or a fresh growler of one of Aslin's delicious offerings.
Our Recommendations:
