You're simple, unique, and proper. Drink from a glass that matches your style!
Appearance:
Aslin's San Antone Saucer poured a beautiful yellowish/orange color into our Hops on Hops V2 Pint Glass. The double dry hopped ipa produced a short white head that filled the immediate area with magnificent tropical aromas.
Nose:
As the head started to dissipate in the IPA pint glass, the IPA expressed dominant pine and tropical aromas. The pine aroma was more subtle on the nose than the tropical aromas; however, the pine and earthiness were still very noticeable.
Palate:
Similar to the aroma profile, the flavor profile exhibited a lot of tropical, melon, and berries up front with a lingering piney finish. The IPA was medium-bodied with a smooth and somewhat creamy mouthfeel.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, we really appreciate Aslin Beer Company's Progeny series, as the new series enables their other brewers to showcase their own beer recipes. There are several Progeny variants, but San Antone Saucer is currently our favorite beer in the Progeny series.
We frequent Aslin Beer Company several times a month for their highly sought after craft beer cans. Aslin recently developed a new beer release system, and Aslin typically releases several craft beers throughout the week. Aslin is open from 11AM-8PM Tuesday through Sunday. Aslin plans on opening their new taproom sometime in early 2018, and their kegs are starting to appear in the D.C. area.
We recommend visiting this fantastic craft brewery for their limited release craft beer cans, or a fresh growler of one of Aslin's delicious offerings.
Our Recommendations:
Aslin Beer Company:
DDH Neutrino (IPA), Double Orange Starfish (DIPA), Stellar Parallax (DIPA), How Now Brown Cow (Stout Beer), DDH Orange Starfish (IPA), and DDH Dunley Place (DIPA).
